April, 1959 - A letter goes out from the Board of Directors to form a committee of discussion concerning the liquidation of the club's properties. It states that the issue is not dissolution of the organization, only its assets(i.e., the clubhouse, land and equipment.). It was becoming clear that the club as it stood was beginning to come apart at its seams. Yet another small group within the club was busy with forming an offshoot of the club, with full support and commitment from the WSARC.
The club purchases a two meter beam for the clubhouse. The generator is replaced with a new one, and Field Day takes place in the mountains. The minutes of the club meetings show there are several groups within the club which operate somewhat independently of each other; The stockholders of the WSARC, INC.; the regular members of the WSARC, and the Board of Directors of the WSARC, INC.
There are limited Club records for these years due to a fire at the Clubhouse which destroyed many of the documents. We do know that the Club continued to meet on a regular basis although active membership began to shrink.
